Langhe, Roero and Monferrato Motorcycle Tours
Piedmont has a great offering of roads, the type that us motorcyclists dream of. Its incredible variety of landscapes means you will find hairpins, long curves, hills, mountain passes, deserted straights, narrow roads through ancient towns and villages and plenty of places to stop off at.
Every year I plan to do a little more and next year (2011) will not be an exception. In fact, if you're interested in taking a tour with someone that knows the area well, drop me a line! I'm arranging day and half day trips around the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato. And maybe a little further afield.
I'll be suggesting places to stay and take you places for food and drink. We'll be visiting wine producers, enjoying personal tours with plenty of wine tasting. Popping into cafes and restaurants to sample the best of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato.
Tours will run on: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Sorry! No Weekends. It's really not the best of days to ride as rozzers are everywhere (Police that is). Just a little over the speed limit and you'll be paying a hefty fine.
Routes will take in: Alba, Bra, Barolo, Asti, Cuneo, Canale, Cisterna d'Asti, Cravanzana, Bossolasco, Monforte d'Alba, Serralunga, etc.
The only 'no church' tour in Piedmont
I promise you the views will be extraordinary and the food and wine is the best you will find, anywhere! I also promise we will not visit a single church (I'm not sure why every motorbike route book and tourist office seems to think bikers want to do nothing but visit churches..). If you do want to visit churches it wont be the tour for you. If you want the best scenery and great food and wine, then you have found the right person to help you find your way around.
Prices will be very reasonable and we'll arrange discounts for hotels, agriturismo, etc.
